If you don't have a Google account, you have three options:

Option 1: Join via Computer 

(No Google/ Gmail Account Needed) This method is the easiest because it completely bypasses a login screen and does not require a Google/ Gmail account. 

1. Use a desktop computer or laptop to click the meeting link:  https://meet.google.com/fdy-vszz-egu .

2. If your browser automatically logs you into an unwanted or family account, 

   • copy the meeting link 

   • open a private or "Incognito" browser window, 

   • paste the link there. 

3. Click "Allow" when your browser asks for permission to use your webcam and microphone. 

4. Type your full name into the text box and click the "Ask to join" button.

I'll see you in the meeting room on Wednesday and let you right in!

Option 2: Mobile Phone Users:

 A: Android Phone (Guess what, you already have a Google ID, even if you don't know it!)

From your phone, simply tap the meeting link ( https://meet.google.com/fdy-vszz-egu ) and it will automatically open the Google Meet app using the Google ID already linked to your device.

 B: iPhone Users

You can join from your iPhone using either of these two methods:

• Method A, (recommended): Use the Google Meet App

  • Download the free Google Meet app from the App Store.

  • Open the app and log in. Note: You can log in with your current email (like @mac.com or @aol.com) as long as you quickly register it first at google.com. If you need these instructions, see the HELP! section below in this email.

  • Tap the meeting link ( https://meet.google.com/fdy-vszz-egu  ), and it will open directly in the app.

• Method B: Bypass the Google Meet app Using Safari (No Google Account Needed, but audio/ video may be finicky)

  • Press and hold the meeting link (  https://meet.google.com/fdy-vszz-egu ), select Copy, and paste it into the Safari app on your phone.

  • Tap the aA icon in the bottom-left corner of the Safari address bar.

  • Select Request Desktop Website from the menu. The page will reload like a computer screen.

  • Allow microphone/camera permissions.

  • Type your full name

  • Tap "ask to join".

HELP! (aka, I use iPhone, not Google):  

1. Go to the Sign-up Page: Open Safari and go directly to google.com.

2. Select the Secret Toggle: On the initial screen where it asks to create a username, Tap the text link that says "Use my current email address instead." 

3. Enter your Apple Email: The field will change from trying to make a @gmail.com address to a blank box. Enter your full .mac or .icloud email address.

4. Verify the Account: Google will instantly send a 6-digit verification code to your Apple email. Check your Apple Mail app, copy the code, paste or type it into Safari, and create a password. Congratulations, you now have a Google account using your Apple email. 

   • If you already have a Google account under your Apple email, but have forgotten your password, No worries. Google will prompt you through all the steps to recover your password and they will send the password reset link to your Apple email.
