The fifth consecutive Vieques Audubon Christmas Bird Count
will be held on January 2, 2027, officially beginning at 6:30 a.m.
Preregistration is required.
The 5:00 p.m. potluck is optional, but a lot of fun, and the food is great!
Our Christmas Bird Count officially ends at 6:30 p.m. on January 2, 2027, but we embrace flexibility, so don't worry too much about the exact time, as we are always on "island time."
Some things to know…
Most CBC birders are done by noon, but some birders also run routes in the afternoon or even all day. Routes are typically posted in mid-December, along with maps and instructions. Preregistration is required, so please let us know if you would like to join us.
The potluck will be on January 2, 2027, at 5:00 p.m., at the Vieques Conservation and Historical Trust. All CBC birders are invited, just don’t forget to bring the food!
The Vieques Audubon Christmas Bird Count is both fun and educational. Your support of Citizen Science is appreciated, as is your support for avian conservation, research, and educational programming. Donations are always welcome, but we really want your eyes and ears on Count Day!
